Malpani Infertility Clinic

We've been here at Jamuna Sagar on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road in Colaba for a good while now. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street filtering into the waiting room. The clinic itself isn't fancy. We have the usual chairs, a desk that’s seen better days, and files stacked up because the computer system sometimes acts up. People come in from all over Colaba and even further out, usually looking a bit nervous. Most days start early, around eight, when the first patients arrive. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks or looking at charts. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a rattling sound that we keep meaning to fix but never quite get around to. There's a small pantry in the back where we make tea, and that’s usually the busiest spot during the mid-morning break. Life here is mostly about keeping things moving. We don't have a big corporate team; it's just a few of us trying to manage the appointments and the paperwork. Colaba is a tight-knit place in its own way, and we see the same faces walking past our door every afternoon. It’s just a regular workplace where we deal with some pretty serious stuff every day. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks to worry about that. We just carry on.
