Welpack Industries Pvt. Ltd. is up on the 8th floor of the Ijmima Complex, which is part of the Raheja Metro Plex in Malad West. Being in an office building like this is a bit different from being on a factory floor. We are right off the Link Road, so the traffic down below is always a mess. From our windows, we can see the metro construction and the endless stream of cars. Inside the office, it’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls. We manage the industrial side of things from here. The 8th floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street, but the elevators can be a real pain during peak hours. Sometimes you have to wait ten minutes just to get down to the ground floor. The office is a mix of desks, filing cabinets, and samples of the packaging we deal with. It’s not a fancy designer space; it’s just where we do our admin work. The staff mostly takes the train to Malad and then a rickshaw to get here. We usually order tea from the local guy downstairs and have it while we go through the day’s schedule. It’s a professional enough environment, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We are just a group of people trying to keep the business running smoothly in a very crowded city.
