B. M. Enterprises

B. M. Enterprises is based out of the Orbit Industrial Estate in Malad West. It's unit 110. Finding us can be a little tricky if you don't know Chincholi Bunder, but once you're off Link Road, it’s not too bad. The estate is always busy with trucks and people moving crates around. Our space is functional, mostly just storage and a small office area where we handle the paperwork. We deal with various industrial supplies. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking inventory lists. Malad has changed a lot, with all the new malls and apartments, but this industrial pocket stays pretty gritty. We like the pace here. Some days are slow, while others involve a lot of heavy lifting. We don’t really do big advertising. Most of our contacts are people we’ve known for years in the trade. The lighting in the unit isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. It’s a tight-knit community in the Orbit building. You get to know the guys in the units next door. We just try to get the orders out on time and keep the quality decent. It's a straightforward operation. No big corporate meetings here, just us getting through the daily list of tasks. We keep a small kettle for tea and usually have the radio playing in the background while we work.
