B Kumar Company is located over in Malad East, specifically at M2/502 in the Riddhi Garden Building on Film City Road. It is a busy area of Mumbai to be in, and the traffic outside is almost always a mess, especially during the morning rush. Our office is tucked away in a residential and commercial mix, so you get all kinds of people walking by the door at any given time. We have been operating from this same spot for a while, and it has become a bit cramped with all the paperwork and files we keep around. It’s not a shiny corporate office with a receptionist out front. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see a few of us sitting at desks, talking on the phone to different suppliers or trying to figure out a delivery schedule. We handle a variety of trading and supply work, mostly just connecting the dots between manufacturers and people who need the goods. The elevator in the building can be a bit temperamental, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy presentations or marketing stuff. Most of our days are spent just making sure the numbers add up and the orders are moving along like they should. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and it’s fine being part of the local scene here.
