Makrand Pataskar

Down in Mahim, at 1003, is where you will find me. It is a quiet enough place compared to the rest of the city. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so I know the streets pretty well. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with some chairs and a table that has seen better days. I don't really go for the whole corporate look because it doesn't feel right. Usually, it's just me handling the daily bits and pieces. There is always a lot to do, mostly keeping track of files and making sure things are in order. Sometimes I lose track of time when I'm working through a pile of paperwork. The light in the room is okay in the mornings, but by late afternoon, I have to turn on the old lamp that hums a bit. I get visitors now and then, mostly people from around the neighborhood or folks who heard about the place from a friend. We usually just sit and talk about what needs doing. No fancy presentations or big talk. If I'm not here, I'm probably out grabbing a quick bite at one of the local stalls. Mahim has its own rhythm, and I’ve just become a part of it over the years. It’s a simple way of working, and it keeps me busy enough without too much stress or worry. Just Makrand Pataskar doing what needs to be done.
