We've been at B-19 in the Pravasi Industrial Estate for a while now. If you know Goregaon East, you know how busy it gets off Aarey Road. Most days we are just busy handling the paperwork and logistics for the stuff we move around. It's an export-import business, which sounds fancy, but really it's just a lot of checking lists and making sure boxes get where they need to go. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where the work gets done. We start early most mornings because the traffic around here is a nightmare if you wait too long. Someone is always on the phone or tracking a shipment. It gets noisy with the other units in the estate, but you get used to the sound of trucks and people moving things. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a handful of us making sure Makarna Exim stays on track. Sometimes things get delayed at the port or there’s a hiccup with a supplier, and we just have to sit down and figure it out. That is just how this trade works. We have our routine down. It’s mostly about keeping the records straight and staying on top of the different time zones. We've stayed in this spot because it's convenient for the staff and we know the neighbors. It’s a decent place to work, even if the stairs are a bit narrow and the elevator is moody. We just keep our heads down and do the daily tasks.
