Our office is up on the fifth floor, room 505 to be exact, in Maker Bhavan III. The address is 21 New Marine Lines, which sounds a bit more prestigious than it feels when you’re actually sitting inside. It’s an old building with those heavy elevators that take forever to arrive. We deal with ampoules, those small glass containers for medicine. We don't make them right here in the office, of course. This is where we handle the orders, talk to the factories, and deal with all the boring paperwork that comes with running a business. The walls are a bit yellowed from age and we have metal filing cabinets that screech when you open them. Outside, the area is busy with lawyers and people heading to the courts or the station. You can catch a bit of a breeze from the sea if you stand in the right spot, but mostly it’s just the smell of old paper and tea. We aren't a big modern startup. We’ve been around for a long time and we like things to stay simple. We have our regular clients who have been buying from us for decades. We just keep track of the stock and make sure the glass doesn't break during shipping. It’s a steady kind of work that doesn't need much shouting about. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish the ledger, but mostly we leave when the sun goes down. It’s a solid, quiet place to work in the city.
