Maitri Construction

Our office is just a small room, Room No. 3, inside Parmarth Niwas on Gaondevi Road. It is not very big, and if more than four people come in at once, it feels a bit crowded. Being in Tembipada, Bhandup, we are right in the middle of a lot of noise and activity. There is always some construction going on nearby, which makes sense given what we do. The road outside can be a bit steep and dusty, especially when the trucks are moving through Mumbai. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or talking to the laborers who come by to check their schedules. There is an old wooden table where we keep the site diaries and a computer that sometimes takes a while to start up. We don't have any fancy signs outside, just a small nameplate so people know they are in the right place. Most of the guys who work here live nearby, so we usually walk or take a rickshaw to get to the office. It is a practical setup for a construction business like ours. We don't spend money on leather chairs or expensive coffee machines. We just use what we have and focus on the buildings we are working on. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, but we just wait it out and keep talking. It is just a regular local business life here in Bhandup.
