Maitree Packagings

We run Maitree Packagings from an old building called Manusmruti on Tejpal Road in Vile Parle. It’s at unit 402. Vile Parle is a crowded place, and our street is no exception. We make and sell packaging materials, mostly boxes and wraps. The space is usually filled to the ceiling with cardboard. It smells like paper and glue in here, which I’ve gotten used to over the years. My family has been doing this for a bit. It’s not a glamorous job, but every business needs a box to put their stuff in. We have a few machines that are quite old and loud, but they still work just fine if you know how to kick them. Sometimes we get a big order and we have to work through the night to get it done. The neighbors don't always like the noise, but we try to be quiet. We don’t have a website that works very well, and we don’t do any advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have been buying from us for ten years. We sit on plastic chairs in the office and eat our tiffin together at noon. It’s a simple life. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. If you need a box, you come to Vile Parle and find us in the Manusmruti building. We’ll be there, probably covered in tape and dust. That's just how our business goes every day.
