We have been working out of this spot in Kandivali East for a long time now. If you come through Gate No 2 on Akurli Road, you will find us pretty easily. Our office is on the first floor in what most people still call the old Hsubhlabh office. It is a busy place with a lot of noise coming from the street and the gate security, but we have gotten used to the constant movement. The stairs leading up to our floor are a bit narrow and the paint is peeling in a few corners, but the space works for what we need to get done every day. Most of us have been here for years, so we know the building inside and out. It is not one of those modern glass towers you see in the newer parts of the city, but it has its own character. We spend most of our hours handling paperwork and talking to the folks who come through the gate for various reasons. Sometimes the ceiling fans are a bit loud when the heat picks up in the summer, but that is just part of being here. We try to keep the files in order even when things get a bit hectic around the desk. Being right at the entrance means we see everything that happens on the site. It is a steady, practical rhythm for us. We just show up and do the work that needs doing.
