Jawahar Leather Works Private Limited

We’ve been operating Jawahar Leather Works from Lakshmi Nivas for quite some time now. You can find us on J K Sawant Marg, right across from the Yashwant Rao Chauhan Natia Sankul. It's a busy spot in the city. Working with leather is what we do here day in and day out. There’s always that smell of leather in the air when you walk in. It’s a messy job sometimes, with all the cutting and stitching going on, but we’re used to it. The team here isn't very big, but everyone knows their part. We spend most of the day at our benches, making sure the pieces fit together right. Sometimes the machines act up or the material isn't exactly what we expected, so we have to adjust. It’s not a fancy office, just a workspace where things actually get made. People usually find us by looking for the landmark opposite the hall. We get a lot of noise from the street, but it keeps things lively. We’re not the type of place that spends money on big signs. We just keep our heads down and get the orders done. It’s a steady pace most weeks. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It’s just a normal way to earn a living doing something we actually know how to do well enough. I guess it suits us.
