We have been running Mahavir Cables & Wires from this spot on Princes Street for quite some years now. If you know the area near the taxi stand off Lohar Chawl, you know it gets pretty crowded with everyone looking for electrical stuff. Our shop is up on the first floor of Devkaran Mansion, number three. It isn't a fancy place, but it's where we keep all the stock. Mostly, people come to us when they need specific types of wiring for their homes or maybe a bigger project. Dealing with cables all day means we spend a lot of time measuring things out and checking specifications. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers making sure the orders go out correctly. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor are a bit of a climb when you’re carrying heavy reels, but that is just how it is here. We have regular customers who have been coming to this lane for decades. They know where to find us. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find out through word of mouth or because they were already in the market for something else. It's a busy part of town, always noisy with the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on getting the right wires to whoever needs them. Nothing too complicated about it, just daily work in a very busy market.
