Mahavir Autoparts is located right by the Gagan Deep bus stop in the Critra area. It’s a very easy place to find because there are always buses stopping and starting right outside our door. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with boxes. We’ve got parts for almost everything, but finding them can take a minute if it's one of those rare items tucked in the back. It’s greasy work sometimes, especially when someone brings in a part to show us exactly what they need. We spend most of our time looking through catalogs or checking the shelves. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we’re always wiping down the counters. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just rows of metal shelves and a counter where we talk to customers. People come in looking for specific bolts, filters, or lights, and we do what we can to help them out. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout to be heard, but that’s just life on a main road. We keep a small stool behind the counter for when things get quiet, but that doesn't happen often during the day. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local mechanics know us by name. We don't do anything fancy, just sell parts and keep track of our inventory. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We usually keep some spare change in a jar for the bus conductors who need it when they drop by.
