Maersk Shipping Company

Our office is over in Mumbai, specifically at 304 Suyash Apartments on New Prabhadevi Road. It’s a busy part of the city, but then again, most of Mumbai is like that. Working for Maersk Shipping Company from this location feels a bit different than what people might expect from a big name. We are tucked away in the apartment building, and it’s a pretty straightforward setup. We spend our hours looking at shipping schedules and talking to the port people. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the commute to Prabhadevi a real mess, but we still show up and get the work done. There are a few small tea stalls nearby where we usually go for a break. It's just a regular office life here. We deal with containers and ships, but our day-to-day is mostly just computer screens and filing. The building itself has been around for a while, and we know the other people working on the same floor. It’s not like those shiny towers you see in the movies. It’s more practical. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the shipments are moving along. Every day brings something a bit different, maybe a delay at the docks or a paperwork mix-up, but that’s just how shipping goes. We are just here in Mumbai doing our part. It's a lot of coordination and phone calls, but we manage to keep things on track somehow.
