Our office is situated in Bhiwandi, over at Prajakta Building. We’re on the third floor, which is E/7, in the Ajay Nagar section. If you’ve ever been to this part of the Thane district, you’ll know it’s basically the heart of all things moving. The roads are always full of trucks. It can get pretty dusty and loud around here, but that’s just life in Bhiwandi. Maersk Global Service Centres India Pvt Ltd has its space here, and it’s a lot of people just working away at their stations. It’s not some fancy corporate park with fountains and stuff. It’s a practical building for practical work. The stairs can be a bit of a workout every morning. We have a lot of regulars who come in and out. The weather here can be a bit harsh, especially in the summer, so we’re thankful for the fans. We don’t really do anything fancy for lunch; usually, it’s just dabbas brought from home. There’s a certain rhythm to the day here. You hear the traffic outside and the hum of the computers inside. We’ve got a small corner for water and some old magazines that nobody reads. It’s a straightforward environment. We focus on getting through the tasks of the day and making sure everything is recorded properly before we head back out into the Thane traffic. It’s just a regular workplace doing its thing every single day.
