Maersk Global Service Centre

Working out of Block No -K, 5, Room No -5 in Mumbai is quite an experience. It’s a small space, but we manage to do a lot from here. Maersk Global Service Centre is basically just a group of us sitting in this room, handling whatever comes our way. Mumbai is a crowded city, and our corner of it is no different. The noise from the street usually drifts in, and when it rains during the monsoon, it gets even louder. We deal with all sorts of global service tasks, mostly checking data and making sure things are on track. It’s a lot of computer work and quick conversations. We don’t have any fancy lobby or big signs. It’s just a practical setup where we can get the job done. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the internet slows down, and we just have to wait it out or find another way. We’re used to the fast pace of the city, even if we are tucked away in a small room. The commute for most of us involves the local trains, so by the time we get to the office, we’ve already had a full morning. We keep things simple here. There’s no need for anything complicated when you’ve got a lot of work to finish before the day ends. We just keep our heads down and stay busy through the afternoon heat. It’s a tight space but it works for what we need.
