Maersk Global Service Centre

Maersk Global Service Centre is located over here in Thane at Shraddha Darshan Soc, right in Ramchandra Nagar 1. It’s a pretty busy area and our office fits right in with the local pace. We spend most of our days dealing with the technical side of shipping and logistics. People think it’s all big ships, but mostly it is us sitting at desks making sure the data matches up. The office isn’t anything too special, just a regular space where we get things done. We’ve got a mix of people working here, some who have been around since we started and others who are just learning the ropes. Sometimes the traffic getting into Thane West can be a real headache in the mornings, but we all manage to get in and get the computers running. We don’t really go for those fancy corporate speeches. We just handle the tasks that come our way. If you walk past the society, you probably wouldn’t even realize how much work is happening inside. We mostly focus on back-end support, which means a lot of emails and phone calls throughout the day. It gets a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at once, but that is just how it goes here. We take our breaks together and talk about local news or whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It’s a decent place to work and we keep things simple and honest without any of that polished talk you see elsewhere.
