Maersk Global Service Centre India Pvt Ltd

The office here at Maersk Global Service Centre India Pvt Ltd is located in Mira Road East, which is a bit of a trek for some of us. We are in Gaurav Enclave, Cluster 3, right behind the GCC Club. It’s a decent enough spot in Mumbai, though the commute on the train can be pretty draining. Inside, it’s mostly computers and people talking on headsets. We deal with shipping stuff on a global scale, but our daily life is just sitting at desks in this building. Opposite us is Gaurav Regency, so there’s always people walking around. The office isn't overly decorated or anything. We have our files, our coffee mugs, and our lists of things to do. It gets pretty humid here, being Mumbai and all, so the air conditioning is a lifesaver. We don’t really do the whole corporate jargon thing when we’re just talking amongst ourselves. We’re just trying to make sure the containers get from one port to the next without sitting in a harbor for too long. It’s a lot of data entry and checking schedules. Sometimes the internet slows down and we all just take a collective breath. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to keep the shipping lanes clear from our little corner of Mira Road. It is just basic office work with a lot of international emails.
