Down on Nagdevi Street, you'll find us at 165/167. This part of Mumbai is always packed, and our shop is no different. It’s a bit of an old building, but it’s where all the hardware action happens. We handle a lot of different items, mostly stuff for industries and building things. The shelves are packed right up to the ceiling with metal parts, tools, and things you’d use in a factory. It’s often quite noisy with the handcarts moving outside on the cobblestones. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a place where people come when they know exactly what they’re looking for. M M Huzeifa has been a name around here for years. We spend our mornings checking the stock that came in overnight and the afternoons dealing with the regular customers who walk in from the street. The air smells a bit like oil and metal, which is just how it is in this neighborhood. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just stay here at the shop and wait for the phone to ring or a customer to walk through the door. Sometimes we have to move twenty boxes just to find one small wrench, but that’s just part of the daily routine on Nagdevi Street. It’s a tight space, but we know where every single nut and bolt is hidden away. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day.
