You can find our place at 105 Ram Mandir Road in Goregaon West. We are very close to the railway crossing, so we get to hear the trains passing by all the time. It’s just a part of the daily background noise for us now. The traffic on Ram Mandir Road can get pretty stuck, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a long time. It’s a simple shop with a lot of history. We don't have any modern glass windows or shiny signs. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it suits us. We spend our days dealing with customers and keeping track of what we have in stock. The shelves are often a bit disorganized, but we know exactly where everything is. My assistant has been here for years and knows most of the regulars by name. We don't really do any big promotions. People just know we are here by the crossing. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the construction and traffic nearby, but we just keep the place as clean as we can. We open up in the morning and stay until it’s time to close up and head home like everyone else. It’s a regular life and we just take things one day at a time. The local tea stall guy brings us a round in the afternoon.
