M. C. Balan & Company

You can find us over at 12-B, (B) in the Steelmade Industrial Estate. We are up on the second floor, which means a lot of trips up and down the stairs every day. Being in Marol, Andheri East, means we are right in the middle of a very busy industrial hub. M. C. Balan & Company isn't a large firm. It’s a compact office space where we manage our day-to-day business. The building itself has seen better days, and the corridors can be a bit dark. Inside the office, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of paper. Mumbai weather is usually quite damp, so the walls sometimes get those salt patches, but we try to keep it as neat as we can. We don't really have a formal mission statement or anything like that. We just come in, check our emails, and get to work on whatever needs doing. The noise from the other units in the estate is always there in the background. Sometimes it’s hard to hear people on the phone. We don't have a big budget for fancy decor, so it’s all very functional. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for years. It’s a very local, hands-on way of doing things. We just try to keep our heads down and get the work finished before the evening rush hour hits the streets. It's just a regular office day.
