M Ashok Kumar & Co has been on Erskine Road in Kalbadevi for quite some time now. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how busy and crowded it gets every single day. Our office is right in the middle of all that noise and activity. It’s a small space, usually filled with files and old wooden desks. We handle our daily work here without much fuss or fanfare. Kalbadevi is a place where everyone is always moving, and we are no different. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anyone to greet you at the door. You just walk in and talk to whoever happens to be available at the time. Most of the time, the desks are completely covered in paperwork. We’ve stayed at Erskine Road because it’s where everything happens in this trade. The traffic outside can be a bit much sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the horns and the shouting over the years. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. It’s just a group of us working through the day. We deal with whatever comes through the door. It’s a bit cramped inside, but it works fine for what we do. People around here know where to find us when they need something. We don’t really do much advertising. Being on Erskine Road means we see a lot of the local life every day. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We just work.
