Lucky Batteries

If you’re driving down the Malad West Link Road, you’ve probably passed us near Road 5. Lucky Batteries has been sitting here for a while now. It’s a dusty, busy stretch of road, and we spend most of our time out front or in the back room with the stock. We deal with all sorts of batteries for cars and bikes. It’s the kind of work where your hands get dirty and you spend a lot of time on your feet. There’s no fancy air-conditioned waiting room here, just a counter and some stools for when people need to wait. We see a lot of people who are in a hurry because their car wouldn't start. We understand that frustration. We just try to get them sorted and back on the road. The traffic on Link Road can be a nightmare, so we try to be quick. We aren’t part of some big chain; it’s just our local shop. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and it feels like a real community. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain floods the street a bit, but we keep the doors open anyway. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. If you need a battery, we usually have it sitting on the shelf ready to go. That’s pretty much the whole story of our day.
