L.S.G.D is located in a house called Kochukoikal in the Muttom area of Haripad. This is down in Alappuzha, Kerala. It is a very green part of the country with lots of coconut trees around us. We operate out of this house rather than a big office building. It feels more natural that way. We handle all sorts of local tasks that come through the Muttom post office. The humidity here can be really tough, especially in the afternoons. We don't have air conditioning, just some old fans that spin all day. We keep our records in big paper ledgers because that is what we are used to. It is a very slow and steady way of working. We aren't in a hurry to get things done because we want to avoid making errors. Most of the people who work here live just a short walk away. We know the neighbors and their families well. Sometimes the monsoon rains are so heavy that we can't even leave the house. We just stay inside and catch up on the paperwork. It is a simple life in Alappuzha. We don't have a website or any social media pages. People know where Kochukoikal is if they need to find us. It’s just a regular local business run by people who have lived here their whole lives. We just keep at it every day.
