If you are looking for us, we are down in the basement of the Khan Building. It’s right near the Dokyard East station, so you can hear the trains if you listen close enough. Being in a basement has its own vibe. It stays a little cooler than the street level, which is nice when the weather gets really hot outside in the summer. L.R. Chopra & Co. has been in this spot for a long bit now. We have boxes stacked up and desks that have seen better days, but everything has its own place. People usually find us by walking down those stairs from the main road. It’s a busy area with people rushing to catch their trains, but once you step inside, it’s just us working on whatever needs doing that day. We handle a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the morning. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we've got our lamps and we know where every file is kept. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new shipment comes in and we have to shuffle things around to make some room. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to show off. Usually, it's just the sound of the fans humming and someone typing or talking on the phone. We take our lunch breaks when we can, often grabbing something quick from the stalls near the station. It’s a practical way to spend the day, just staying busy and keeping the business going forward without much fuss.
