Working on the 6th floor of Tower A here at Peninsula Business Park is quite different from a street-side branch. We are way up there, looking out over Senapati Bapat Marg. The elevators take forever in the morning when everyone is trying to get to their desks. It’s a big building, very modern, with lots of security and glass everywhere. Inside our space, it’s mostly computers and people on headsets. It gets pretty quiet except for the tapping of keyboards. We don't see much of the outside world until lunch time when everyone heads down to find something to eat. The traffic down on the street is always a mess, you can hear the horns even from up here sometimes. It’s a lot of professional folks in suits and formal wear walking through the lobby. We’ve got our designated desks and the coffee machine is probably the most popular spot in the whole office. It’s a busy environment where time seems to go by really fast because there is always another task to finish. We don’t spend much time talking about anything other than the work at hand. It feels very separated from the rest of the city once you go through those revolving doors at the entrance. It’s just how the setup is in these big business parks. We do what needs doing and then head home through the evening rush at Dcb Bank Ltd.
