Lovson Exports Ltd

Being at Nariman Point means we are right in the thick of things here in Mumbai. Lovson Exports Ltd has its office in Bajaj Bhawan, which is a pretty well-known building if you spend any time in this part of town. The view out the windows is mostly just other tall buildings and the constant movement of people on the street below. We handle a lot of different export items, so the phone is usually going off from early morning until we pack up for the day. It’s a busy office, but not in a way that feels like a big corporation. It’s more like a group of people who have worked together for a long time and just know how to handle the chaos. We spend a lot of time on emails and making sure the shipping documents are exactly right because even a small mistake can cause a huge headache at the port. There’s always a stack of folders on someone’s desk and a half-empty cup of tea nearby. The elevators in Bajaj Bhawan can get really crowded during lunch hours, so we usually try to go a bit earlier or just have something brought in. Working in this area has its perks, but mostly it’s just about getting the shipments out on time and dealing with the banks. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that, just a functional workspace where the work actually happens.
