Lotey Mechanical Works (Regd.)

We are right across from the big Phoenix Mills mall, but our side of Senapati Bapat Marg feels very different. Janta Industrial Estate is where the real work happens. We’re in Unit 8. It’s a workshop environment, so expect some noise and the smell of oil. Lotey Mechanical Works has been around for a bit. We fix things and make parts. There’s a lot of heavy machinery in our space, so it’s not the kind of place you’d wear a nice shirt to. We usually have grease on our hands by ten in the morning. The unit is a bit dark, but we have good work lights over the lathes and drills. We don't have a receptionist. If someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door wipes their hands on a rag and goes to see what they need. We have an old desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and the phone. It’s usually covered in metal shavings or bits of paper. We eat our lunch on a small wooden table in the back. It’s loud because of the traffic and the other workshops in the estate, but it’s a good kind of busy. We don't have a website or anything like that. People mostly know us because they’ve been coming here for years or someone told them we can fix what they’ve got. It’s honest work. The cat from next door usually comes by for some milk in the afternoons.
