Transmo Insulation & Wires

We are located at No. 8 Pathak Wadi, in the Peerbhai Building. If you know Lohar Chawl, you know it’s a crowded, busy market. Transmo Insulation & Wires is right in the middle of all that. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with different types of wires, cables, and insulation materials. There isn’t much room to walk around once you step inside. We spend our days cutting wires to specific lengths or pulling heavy reels off the shelves. It’s physical work and your hands get dirty pretty quickly. The Peerbhai Building is quite old, so the walls have that aged look. We don’t mind. It’s a place of business, not a gallery. The noise from the market outside is constant—shouting, carts rattling, and horns. You get used to it after a week. We have a small desk where we do the billing, usually surrounded by samples of copper and plastic. Most people who come here are electricians or contractors who know exactly what they want. We don't need to explain much. We just find the right gauge and get it ready. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just keep working by the light from the door. It’s just how things are at Lohar Chawl. We’ve been here for years and the routine hasn’t changed much for us. We just keep the stock ready for whenever someone needs it.
