If you know the Diamond Building in Pathakwadi, then you know where Indiana Hardware Tools is. We are right in the middle of Lohar Chawl, which is a place that never really seems to sleep or stay quiet. It is a bit of a squeeze getting through the hallways sometimes because there is always someone moving a crate or a box of metal parts. Near Princess Street, the energy is always high, and we feel that inside our shop too. Our space is filled with the smell of oil and metal. There are shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, and they are packed with tools and hardware that we have been collecting and selling for a long time. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear your Sunday best. You are likely to get a bit of grease on your sleeve if you are not careful. We do not have a website that does much, and we do not spend money on big ads. Most people find us because they were already in the neighborhood looking for something specific. We spend our days digging through bins to find that one specific bolt or wrench someone needs. It is repetitive work, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we have grown used to over the years. We just keep the lights on and help the people who walk through the door.
