We operate out of Sutar Chawl at Marine Lines. We are on the second floor of number 27. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how packed it is. Every inch of space is used for something. Our office is no different. We have shelves all the way to the ceiling, filled with everything we need for the business. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. The building is old, with those high ceilings and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler than the street outside. We spend the day dealing with people coming in and out, checking stock, and making sure the deliveries are on time. The stairs are wooden and they creak every time someone walks up. It is a familiar sound to us now. We do not have a fancy sign outside, just a small one near the door. The windows look out over the street, and we can see the crowds moving below all day long. It is a busy life here. We usually eat lunch at our desks because there is always something to finish. We are not interested in looking like a big corporation. We are just a group of people who know how to run this business in a very crowded city. It takes a lot of patience to work in Marine Lines, but we have been doing it for years and we have got our own rhythm now.
