Livina (Bombay Electrical Projects & Supplies)

Livina has been around Mittal Court in Nariman Point for quite some time now. Being at 3-B means we are right in the thick of things in South Mumbai. It’s an old building, and you can feel the history of the city when you walk through the corridors. Our focus is on electrical projects and supplies, which basically means we deal with a lot of wires, switches, and heavy gear that people need for their buildings. The office is often full of catalogs and sample pieces of electrical hardware. Nariman Point can be a bit of a grind with the parking situation and the humidity coming off the sea, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just supply the parts that contractors and builders keep asking for. It gets noisy when the phones start ringing all at once, mostly people looking for specific supplies they can't find elsewhere. We spend a lot of time checking inventory lists and making sure the deliveries are actually on the trucks. Some of us have worked here for years and know every corner of Mittal Court. It’s a practical sort of place where we just get on with the job of managing electrical supplies. Sometimes we go for a walk by the water during lunch just to get some air before heading back to the stacks of boxes and paperwork.
