Light World

We’ve been running Light World out here in the suburban area for quite a long time now. It’s just a regular shop where we keep all sorts of lamps, bulbs, and fixtures. Sometimes the place gets a bit cluttered with open boxes and bubble wrap all over the floor, but that’s just how we operate. Most of our day is spent testing out lights or talking to neighbors who come in needing a specific fuse or a bulb for their kitchen. It isn't a fancy showroom with expensive carpets. It’s just a practical place. My brother and I usually handle the front counter. We know where everything is kept, even if it looks a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time. We get our new stock on Tuesdays, so that’s always a bit of a hectic morning for us. People come in with broken parts and ask if we have a match. Usually, we can find something that works. If we don’t have it in stock, we try to figure out where they might be able to find it. The suburban location is nice because it stays fairly quiet compared to the city center. We don’t bother with big ads or anything like that. People just know we are here and stop by when they need something. Sometimes the coffee machine in the back breaks down and we have to go across the road. That’s just how it goes here.
