We are located in Flat No. 20 on the first floor of Govind Niwas. If you know the Kalina area, we’re right near the Gurudwara in Sundernagar. Being in Santacruz East is handy because it’s a central enough spot for the team to meet up. It’s an old building but it works for what we need. The office is basically where the planning happens before anyone goes out to the sites. We spend most of our mornings going through emails and checking on supply lists. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, especially on paydays or when a big project is starting up. You can hear the noise from the street sometimes, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we grab tea. It’s a practical setup. Most of the time, our boots are a bit dusty from being out at the sites, so the floor stays pretty messy. We don't have any big signs or anything. People just know where Govind Niwas is and they find us on the first floor. It’s just us doing our bit for the contracting business here in Mumbai. We don’t overthink things, we just look at what needs finishing and try to get it done without too much fuss. Every day is a bit different depending on which site needs the most attention. We just keep at it.
