Laxmi Fabricators

Our workshop is down in the Kurla Industrial Estate at 15/F. We’re right on NSS Road, just across from Narayan Nagar in Ghatkopar West. It’s a noisy area, but that fits what we do perfectly. At Laxmi Fabricators, there’s usually the sound of cutting or welding going on from early morning. We work with a lot of metal—iron, steel, whatever the job calls for. The space is pretty industrial, greasy floors and tools everywhere, but that’s how a real shop looks. We take on all sorts of fabrication tasks, from small gates to bigger structural bits. It’s heavy work and it gets hot, especially during the summer months. We don't have a fancy showroom or a secretary answering phones. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. People come to us because they need something built to last. We don't do much talk; we just get the measurements and start the work. Sometimes we have to wait on materials to arrive, which can be a pain with the traffic on NSS Road, but we try to stay on schedule. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and know most of the other shop owners nearby. It’s a tough trade, but we’re used to the grit and the long hours. Usually, we're here until the sun goes down or the job is finished for the day.
