Larsen & Toubro Limited

This is the R&D building in Mumbai and we are up on the third floor. It is usually pretty packed with people coming and going. Since it is an R&D spot, there is always something being tested or looked at, which keeps things interesting enough. Being in Mumbai, the humidity can get to you, but the air conditioning inside stays on most of the time. The elevators are a bit slow so a lot of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much stuff. Our desks are covered in notes and blueprints and different files that we need to sort through. It is not the quietest office because there is always a discussion happening in one corner or another. We have a canteen downstairs that gets really crowded at noon. You can hear the city noise outside if you open the window, but we mostly keep them shut. We have been at this location for a good bit of time now. Working for Larsen & Toubro Limited here means there is always a new technical problem to solve. It is a lot of staring at screens and talking over coffee. We don't have any big speeches or anything, just a lot of practical work that needs doing. Sometimes the printer jams when we have a big deadline, which is always fun. It is just a normal workplace with regular people trying to figure things out day by day. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just our jobs.
