L&T Ltd.

L&T Ltd. has been operating out of Ballard Estate for a very long time. Our address at L&T House is one of those old buildings that has seen a lot of changes in Mumbai over the decades. You can find us at P. O. Box 278, which is a detail we’ve kept for years. The area around here has that old-world feel with the heavy stone buildings and the wide streets that get crowded during the lunch hour. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s a nice walk if the weather isn't too hot. Inside the building, it’s mostly just people busy with paperwork and meetings. It can feel a bit quiet sometimes in the hallways, then really loud when a shift changes or a big group comes in. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It’s more about the work happening at the desks. We have people who have been with us for twenty years and some kids who just started last month. It’s a mix of everyone. We deal with a lot of mail, hence the post box, and the security guys at the front gate know almost everyone by face. It’s just how things have always been run here. We show up, we do the tasks assigned, and we keep the building running. There’s no big mystery to it.
