L&T Ecc Division Mumabi Monorail

Our office is situated in the Subhrata Building over in Diva, which is part of the Thane area. We are up on the 4th floor in Room No-5. It is a bit of a climb since the elevator is often being repaired or is just slow. The building itself is quite typical for Maharashtra, with lots of activity all day long. We are here focusing on the Mumbai Monorail project. The room is not very big, so things feel a bit tight when everyone is in for the morning meeting. We have stacks of blueprints and technical drawings for the rail lines piled up on every available surface. The windows look out over the busy streets of Diva, and you can always hear the local trains and the honking of the rickshaws below. It gets quite humid, so we keep the windows open to catch any breeze, though that brings in the city dust. The furniture is just basic office stuff we’ve had for years. There is a small corner with a water jar and some glasses. We don't do much in the way of decoration, just some calendars on the wall. It’s a working office, not a showroom. Most of our guys are out on the tracks most of the day anyway. When they come back, they just want a place to sit and write their reports. It is a straightforward setup for a complicated project like the monorail.
