Lakshmi Cement

You can find us on the second floor of the Suryodaya building, right at Swastik Chaar Raste. Being on C. G. Road in Navrangpura means there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. Lakshmi Cement has been operating out of this office for quite some time now. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always noise from the street coming up through the windows. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at delivery schedules. Cement isn’t the most glamorous thing to talk about, but it’s what we know. The office is pretty standard, with desks, some old filing cabinets, and samples sitting in the corners. We’ve grown used to the pace of Navrangpura over the years. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which keeps us moving. We aren't a big corporate setup; it's just a few of us making sure orders get where they need to go. Every morning starts with checking the logs and seeing what’s moved from the yard. It's a lot of coordination and making sure the trucks are on time. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. It's just a practical space where we get the paperwork done and talk to builders. If you're around Swastik Chaar Raste, you’ve probably walked past our building a hundred times. We’re just upstairs, doing the same thing we do every day. It's a bit hectic but we manage to stay on top of it.
