L & T Ecc Division

Our spot is over in Panchkutir, right near Ganesh Nagar. Being so close to I.I.T. in Powai means the whole area is always busy with students and people rushing to and fro. This L & T Ecc Division office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place where the work gets done. Mumbai is usually loud, and our corner of 400076 is no different. Every evening, the traffic near the campus gets backed up, especially when the rains start. Local paperwork takes up most of our time here. About six of us share the main room. Our computers are a bit slow sometimes, and the desks have certainly seen better days. Lunch usually happens at the small stalls nearby because they are cheap and quick. Sitting and typing fills most of the day, then someone has to head out to the site to check things. Monsoon season makes the walk to the office a bit of a mess, so we keep a bucket of extra umbrellas by the door for everyone. It’s just a normal workplace, nothing like the big glass buildings you see downtown. We know the neighbors, and they know us. Most days are just about getting through the pile of folders on the desk before the sun goes down. No big sign hangs out front, just the address. It’s a simple operation for simple tasks.
