Our place is in the Sona Udyog Industrial estate in Andheri East, Gala Number 25 on Ambalal Park Cross Road. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud with the sound of machinery and trucks backing up. We do packaging, so there are always piles of cardboard and rolls of plastic everywhere. It gets pretty dusty, and the fans are always running to keep the air moving. We aren't a corporate office with carpets and quiet hallways. It’s a factory floor where people are busy moving things around. There’s a small office space partitioned off where we handle the invoices and the phone calls. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s when everyone takes a break. We’ve been doing this for a long time at Kuloday Packaging, and the machines we use are old but they still work just fine. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. Most of our customers are other businesses nearby who need boxes or wrapping. It’s hard work, especially when it’s humid, but we’ve got a good group of people here who know what they’re doing. We just focus on getting the orders out on time so the trucks can leave. It’s a practical business in a busy part of Mumbai. We don't really have time for anything too complicated, we just stick to the schedule and try to keep things running.
