Kt Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in the Sudaiv Building on Road No 3 in Dadar East. It is a fairly quiet street compared to the main market area but it still feels like the heart of the city. Our office is in Plot No 97 and we have been here long enough that the local chai wallah knows exactly how we like our tea. The work we do involves a lot of shipping documents and checking on containers that are moving across the water. It can get a bit stressful when a shipment is delayed but that is just part of the export business I guess. We have piles of folders and ledgers that keep us busy from morning until evening. The building itself is an older one and has that specific smell of old paper and concrete that you find in Dadar. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that, just a regular door and some sturdy desks. Most of us take the train to get here so we are always checking the clock to beat the rush hour at the station. It is a practical way to run a business and we don't see the need for extra flash. We just make sure the goods get where they are going and that the paperwork matches up. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big order to finish but mostly we try to get home at a decent hour.
