Our place, Kruger M & E Industries (India) Pvt. Ltd., is pretty much what you’d expect from a working industrial site. We don't have a separate address listed in the file from the name because the whole building is just ours. It’s a lot of metal and concrete, and it’s usually pretty loud from the moment the first shift starts in the morning. We’ve got a crew that knows their way around the machinery, and we don't spend a lot of time sitting in meetings. Most of our talking happens right on the floor where the work is actually being done. The air usually has that heavy, metallic smell to it, and there’s always a bit of dust on the windows. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people. If someone comes by, they usually just flag one of us down. We spend most of the day looking at parts and making sure the assembly is moving like it should. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We mostly wear work clothes that can get dirty without it being a problem. Some of the equipment is old, but it still runs fine if you know how to treat it. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get through the daily list of things to do. It’s straightforward work without any of the extra fluff you see in bigger companies.
