Our place is located on Saki Vihar Road, right in the middle of the industrial area in Sakinaka. If you’ve ever been to Andheri East, you know how the traffic is around here. It’s always a rush. We make measuring tools, mostly stainless steel rulers and things like that. The factory floor is where all the action is. You can hear the hum of the etching machines and the sound of metal being cut. It’s a bit of an old-school environment. We have workers who have been with us for decades, and they really know their way around the machines. Everything has to be quite precise, so we spend a lot of time checking the markings on the scales. The air smells like oil and metal. We don't really bother with fancy decorations in the office. It’s mostly just files, some old desks, and samples of the tools we make. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out to pick up shipments. During the monsoon, the road outside gets pretty flooded, which makes things tricky, but we usually manage to keep things running. It’s a busy life here. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the day is spent on the floor or talking to the supervisors about production numbers. It’s honest work, making things that other people use to build their own stuff. We just stay focused on the daily tasks and try to keep up with the orders.
