Koncept Design Studio

Koncept Design Studio is based out of the Western side of Mumbai, specifically in the 400061 area. It's a busy part of the city, and we've been operating here for quite some time now. Our day usually starts with a lot of tea and looking over whatever project is currently on the desk. We don't have a huge team, just a few people who know their way around a floor plan. Mumbai is a crowded place, so we spend a lot of time figuring out how to make small spaces feel a bit more manageable for the people living in them. We don't really do those high-end glossy presentations. It’s more about sketching things out and seeing what fits. Sometimes the ideas work, and sometimes we have to start over from scratch. That's just how design goes. We deal with the local contractors and try to make sure things move along, even when the monsoon hits and everything slows down. Our space is filled with catalogues and bits of wood and tile. It’s not the cleanest office, but it shows we’re actually working. We like being in this part of town because it’s close to the heart of the action. People stop by to ask questions, and we try to give them straight answers. No fluff, just practical talk about what can be done with their space. We keep things pretty informal around here. Most of our best work happens late at night when the city finally goes quiet and we can actually hear ourselves think.
