Being a limited company, we have a bit more structure than some smaller shops, but we still keep things very down-to-earth. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and site reports scattered around. We deal with the typical challenges of construction in a crowded city like Mumbai, where space is tight and everything has to be timed perfectly. Our staff is used to the fast pace. We don't really have time for corporate jargon or long meetings that don't go anywhere. Most of our discussions happen over a quick coffee while we’re looking at a problem on a site map. It’s loud, it’s fast, and it can be quite stressful during the peak of a project. We focus on getting the foundations right and making sure the building stands up. We’ve seen Mumbai change a lot from our windows in Balaji Building, and we’re just glad to be a small part of that change. We just keep working and moving on to the next task on the list. It’s hard work, but we’ve been at it long enough to handle whatever comes.
