Kimaya Architectural Design Studio

We’re over in Goregaon East, right on Sarmala Road in the G2 spot. It’s a pretty busy area most days with people coming and going constantly. Our studio isn't some fancy glass tower you see in magazines, just a normal workspace where we spend most of our hours. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit much, especially during rush hour, but we’ve gotten used to it by now. There are usually a couple of us here leaning over desks or staring at computer screens for way too long. The office layout is simple and we don’t really bother with much decoration because the papers and models take up all the space anyway. It’s mostly just us trying to figure out how things fit together on a plot of land. We grab tea from the stall down the road when we need a break. Most of the people around here know us as the ones always carrying big rolls of paper or talking about heights and widths. It’s a decent place to work and the neighbors are alright for the most part. We’ve been at this location for a while now and the walls are starting to show a bit of wear, but it feels like home. There’s always someone stopping by to ask a quick question about a wall or a window. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of drawings sitting on the table. It’s just regular work on a regular street in Mumbai. We usually lock up around seven.
