Khalid Yakoob Adenwala Group

Our group has been operating out of Fort Khanna for a long time now. If you know the Fort area, you know it is full of old buildings and very narrow streets where everyone is always in a hurry. The Khalid Yakoob Adenwala Group is just part of that old-school business fabric of Mumbai. We do a lot of different things, mostly trading and managing various interests that have been in the family for generations. The office has that heavy feel of a place that has seen a lot of history pass through its doors. We have old wooden cabinets filled with files that probably haven't been touched in a decade, but we keep them anyway. The staff here is like a small family; some of the guys have been with us since they were young men. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day and talk about the markets or just what is happening on the street downstairs. It is not a modern corporate environment with glass walls and bright lights. It is more about the relationships we have built over the years with other merchants and clients. People come to us because they know who we are and they know we will be here tomorrow. It is a steady pace of work, and while the city changes around us, we just keep doing what we have always done in this corner of Fort.
