Our place, Kemy Impex, is tucked away in Welkar House, right at the corner of 2nd Panjrpole Lane. The full address is 59/61 A, C. P. Tank Road, and let me tell you, it’s a busy corner. If you’re looking for 2A in Welkar House, you have to keep your eyes peeled because the signs on C. P. Tank Road can be a bit overwhelming with all the shops and people. It’s a lively part of town. The building is older, with those high ceilings and narrow hallways that you see in this part of the city. We’re on the second floor, and the stairs are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every day. The office is packed with boxes and samples. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we manage to find what we need eventually. The noise from the street comes right through the windows—horns honking, people shouting, the whole bit. It’s just the way it is here. We do a lot of our work over the phone or on the computer, but there’s always someone dropping by. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that; usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We’ve been at this corner for quite a while and know most of the other shopkeepers around. It feels like a little community in the middle of all the chaos.
