Malhotra House is an old building and we are up on the second floor at number 7. Being right opposite the GPO means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. The office itself is full of files and old desks that have seen better days. We do a lot of our work on phones and computers now but there is still plenty of paper moving around. The elevator in this building can be a bit moody so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor. It’s good exercise anyway. We’ve been in this part of town for a long time and the neighborhood hasn't changed much except for more traffic. We try to keep things quiet inside so we can focus on the accounts and the logistics side of things. There’s usually a stack of mail waiting for us because of how close we are to the post office. We don't have any fancy lounge or anything, just some chairs for visitors and a big table where we do the sorting. It gets a bit stuffy in the summer but we have the fans going full speed. Every now and then we have to reorganize the storage room because things just get cluttered over time. That's just part of the daily life here. We usually lock up around six and walk over to the station.
